My Main Contributions To The Research Project (UPDATED)

Research

1. Searched up on the web on the rising trend of online shopping and tried to find a link between increasing number of online shoppers to the implementation of our design (Virtual Fitting Room).

2. Came up with survey questions with the use of openAI (ChatGPT) and developed the whole survey with the use of Google Forms.

3. Logged into my personal UNIQLO application to find out what UNIQLO has in its app to offer to the current market (in terms of current sizing charts and guides).

4. Researched on the current market trends on online shopping with help from Google and ChatGPT, and further looked into articles on the current designs of existing solutions, using Google Scholar.

Report

1. Started with the introduction, brought up some statistics (Oberlo) to include into the background.

2. Conducted the survey, summarised the results from 35 respondents and included the data into the section of 'issues and concerns faced by the public' in Background.

3. Explored the different benefits that both the company and users could potentially have, with the implementation of our design. Summarised the points and placed them under 'Benefits' section.

4. Evaluated that our design could also potentially bring limitations, did further research, drafted up and finalised the 'Evaluation' section.

5. Voice of the report, ensuring that grammar and sentence structures are all written in one voice.

6. Inputted small details which I think is important in the other sections, backed my statements with the use of online sources.

Comments

  1. Thanks for the explanation, Kristine. When you write that you "concluded survey reponses," what does that mean?

Don't hesitate to update this later.

    1. Thank you prof, for the comment, I was probably not too clear in the explanation in the earlier draft. Was trying to highlight that the conducting and summarising of the survey questions and responses were mainly executed on my side. Have updated the post already, you can maybe have a look again! Feel free to comment if you find anything weird or funny!
